Rep. Ric Keller Statement on Bailout Legislation before Congress

Press Release

Date: Oct. 2, 2008
Location: Washington D.C.

U.S. Representative Ric Keller released the following statement regarding the bailout legislation before Congress:

"I voted NO on the bailout bill brought before the House earlier this week. I opposed putting taxpayers on the hook for a $700 billion bailout of Wall Street and foreign banks," stated Keller.

"I am closely reviewing the Senate passed legislation and the significant new provisions that were tacked onto that bill. I remain gravely concerned with any plan that will saddle future generations with enormous debt while not addressing the fundamental problems with Wall Street and the credit markets."
